Not Enough Time?

Here's an idea!...
Do you find yourself getting so busy and rushed at times that you're not taking time to read your Bible? Don't forsake the Word of God just because you don't have a lot of time all at once to sit and read. Often, when I've had just a few minutes here and there to read a scripture, that one scripture has stood out to me as never before. It made me want to find time later to study it in length and in context. Here's an idea! Lay your Bible open somewhere accessible, so while you're waiting for a pot to boil or timer to go off, you can grab a little piece of the Bread of Life to nibble on. Maybe, it will make you hunger for more.

  1. Amen. I have a kitchen table Bible just for that purpose. It matters not if the kids get peanut butter and jelly on there on accident...at least the Word is available to all

  2. I needed this reminder. It's been a couple busy weeks and not only have my devotions slipped, they've also slipped with the kids in school. Thank you for being in tune to the Holy Spirit. It was needed.

  5. Great idea! I really like that mental picture of nibbling on the Bread of Life throughout the day -- maybe when I'm tempted to nibble on a cookie or piece of chocolate instead! :)

I LOVE that ADORABLE picture of your little grandson! What a cutie! Speaking of nibbling on something -- you must give him lots of "nibbles" and "cuddles". :)

no weddings or grandbabies yet . . .

    blessings,
    Elizabeth

  6. This is a great idea! Since I "inherited" my husband's old smart phone, I've been able to read scripture on it at random times, like on the metro or waiting for someone, and it's been so refreshing to me!

Thanks for stopping by my blog, too! So fun to have new friends via internet.
